Creative writing for wellbeing - various

We are holding a creative writing for wellbeing course, in various locations across North Yorkshire:

  • Harrogate - Knaresborough Library

  • Richmond - Richmond Community Library

  • Scarborough - Scarborough Library

  • Selby - St Mary’s RC Church Hall

  • Skipton - Carers Resource

Join us at a chosen location for a gentle and practical course to express your feelings in different types of writing (sketches, drawings, notes, journal).

Tuesday 24th June (week 1) Course information:

What is Creative Writing? Write what you know: I am here now; gratitude A-Z; thoughts as clouds; creative activities from daily life

Tuesday 01st July (week 2) Using Ideas:

Finding your niche; expressing difficult feelings; a few of my favourite things; locating emotions through drawing

Tuesday 08th July (week 3) Writing outside the box:

Letting go; digital detox; tapping into your staying power; writing a different to-do list; course feedback / review

Important course details

There will be the opportunity to enhance your writing skills with 2 further sessions post summer holidays (dates TBC)

The course session times are 10.00am - 12.00pm
