Please join us on Thursday 3rd July for a day dedicated to parent carer wellbeing at The Golden Lion Hotel, Northallerton from 9:30/10:00am to 2:30pm.
Our aim is for everyone to leave the day feeling uplifted and armed with the tools we need to tackle the upcoming summer holidays!
Workshop Introductions:
How to Thrive: Tools for Emotional Confidence with Anna Lam-Decker
Discover simple, effective tools to support your emotional well-being. This session introduces Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), or ‘tapping,’ which can help reduce anxiety, build confidence, and create a sense of calm for parents and can also be an aid to help children. You’ll also hear about the DARE to Believe programme—an inspiring approach that helps you recognise your inner strengths and step into your full potential. Alongside EFT, Anna will be exploring additional gentle techniques that encourage emotional release, resilience, and a deeper connection between parent and child and looking at practical strategies to support emotional balance and resilience at home.
Move more, live well with Diane Brown
Diane Brown, author of 'The Little Book of Active Wellbeing: Move More, Live Well'
This workshop will change the way you think about exercise so you can finally live an active lifestyle that supports your health and wellbeing in a way that works for you.
It's finally time to start living an active lifestyle you don't want to give up. The difference between this and other 'fitness' methods is that this focuses on what's going on in your mind rather than your body. You will be exercising your brain first!
YOU are the expert on YOU so instead of preaching to you, Diane will guide you through a process to help you uncover the answers for yourself and find the path to an active lifestyle that works for you. You will discover the seven principles of 'Active Wellbeing', how they can help you feel more motivated, more empowered, and begin (when you're ready) to take action that lasts a lifetime.
Lunch Break
You cater for everyone else, let us cater for you! Enjoy a tasty buffet lunch on us, not forgetting desert! Please let us know of any dietary requirements on the final booking confirmation page.
