This policy forms part of our Privacy Notice to ensure compliance under General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Parent Carer Voice – North Yorkshire acknowledges that we collect contact details relating to our members.
We use this information to communicate with our Forum Members in relation to information, events and signposting.
We store all paper records in locked cabinets in the office. We also store records electronically on password protected laptops. Files are password protected in line with data protection principles.
Only limited personal information is held.

Legal requirements
Parent Carer Voice – North Yorkshire follows the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) including the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the storage of data.
As a grant funded organisation through the Department for Education’s Participation Grant we are accountable to the National Delivery Partner ‘Contact’ (Previously Known as Contact a Family). We follow their guidance and protocols, and any accompanying regulations about the information we are required to hold. This includes national guidelines on the safeguarding of children and young people and the Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA).

Ensuring our, privacy notice, terms & conditions and consent record are easily accessed and written in accurate and easy to understand language
Ensuring your data is used for the intended purpose. 3. We will not share or use your data for other purposes other than that for which you have given consent e.g. our Facebook pages, newsletter etc.
