Let's Talk - Social, Emotional & Mental Health
This workshop aims to support the understanding of SEMH and explores strategies which can effectively support children and young people; with Emma Allison - North Yorkshire SEND Hub:
• What is SEMH?
• What are the characteristics of SEMH
• The three key areas of the Triune Brain and their functions
• Emotional development gaps and the lasting impact of early attachment
• How relational approaches can support your understanding of SEMH needs
• How to support children’s social skills and positive attachmentswhen experiencing challenging SEMH needs
• The Key Strategies and how to implementing these
The session will last approximately 1.5 hours, allowing sufficient time for Q and A.
We will endeavour to record this session to forward onto all ticket holders, however due to the sensitivity discussed within this session this may not be possible. We encourage you to attend the live session if possible.
