Join us at Northallerton Town Hall for our upcoming BtSEA information day!
Does your child experience Barriers to School Engagement and/or Attendance (BtSEA - also known as EBSA)?
Do you want to learn more about how you can help them?
These sessions will provide an overview of current developments within BtSEA, an explanation of the use of terminology, the possible reasons behind BtSEA and tips, ideas and resources to enable you to work together with school to identify and reduce any barriers your child may be experiencing.
Parent Carer Voice North Yorkshire worked with York and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and North Yorkshire Council to listen to young people, carers, parents and professionals, to learn from their lived experiences and co-produce guidance for schools and parents in working together to reduce Barriers to School Engagement and/or Attendance. This document is now complete and will be shared with you at this event.
Leading the sessions will be Alison Borg who has both personal and professional experience of BtSEA and also managed the BtSEA co-production project on behalf of Parent Carer Voice.
The day kicks off at 09.15am with arrival coffee and welcomes
