Working together for positive change for parent carers

Welcome to Parent Carer Voice North Yorkshire. We are the recognised parent carer forum for the region. Our vision is to inform, empower and represent the collective voice of families with children and young people with SEND across North Yorkshire.

Here you will find support from other parent carers, useful information and links, events and training which we hope will help inform and support your journey through the SEND services and beyond.

“We have successfully recruited Parent Participation Officers for different localities within North Yorkshire. Their role will enable us to offer support in a more accessible way and ensure that we are able to gain feedback from a wider range of Parent Carers. We will then be able to use our voice to communicate the needs within your communities.”

Our work

We are the recognised parent carer forum for North Yorkshire, supporting families with children and young people aged 0-25. We are committed to ensuring that the views of our members are heard by our strategic partners so that we can work together for positive change. The forum meets regularly with our strategic partners to ensure that our members’ voice is shared. We also sit on a number of different work strands and groups in education, health and social care to represent parent carers.
